Members of "ILCO" society are either regular or visiting members.
Regular members of the Society are patients with stoma, whereas visiting members are usually family members of the patients and other good will people who help the Society.
In order to become a member of our Society you have to contact us via phone or via e-mail or you need to come personally to the Society.
Get together of patients and friends is every Wednesday.
Mrs. MIRA is one of the "veteran" patients who has been having stoma 44 years now (according to our statistics she is one of 4 patients in the world having stoma for such a long period of time). Moreover she is a stoma nurse and she is the one you would have most contact with. If you need to change the disc, protect the skin around stoma, put the stoma bag, she is there to assist you. There is doctor (GP) who is taking your blood pressure, check your analysis...
Whenever needed we ask a psychologist to come or the patients can make an appointment directly at the hospital "Savski Venac".
We organize excursions, we go to the theatre, to literary events - we have guests as well as patients among the authors.
Every Wednesday we also tell jokes, but we make sure that we all are aware of benefits we get regarding phone bills, highway toll, apartment rent, and car insurance.
The number of private hospitals where we get discounts is increasing. Clinic "Dr. Ristic" gives 10% discount on medical checks, such as blood analysis, and 30% on appointments. You have to prove that you are a member of ILCO Society.
